On September 3, a large-scale military parade took place in Beijing China.
During this parade, the anti-drone formation joined the review. Focusing on low-altitude defense needs, this formation’s equipment includes anti-drone gun-missile systems, high-energy laser weapons, high-power microwave weapons and more. These devices form a systematic setup: they have both “soft kill” (electronic interference) and “hard kill” (physical destruction) capabilities, which build a core combat system to counter drones.
Notably, the military’s anti-drone system shown this time covers short, medium and long-distance ranges. It combines multiple attack methods to form a multi-layered defense system. Specifically, the equipment’s arrangement and functions are as follows:
- The first row was the FK311 vehicle-mounted high-power anti-drone laser gun:
2. The second row was the PGL-625 close-in defense gun – a 6-barrel 25mm Gatling gun. It was matched with man-portable air defense missiles to form an anti-drone integrated gun-missile system:

5. The fifth row was the FK-351 high-power microwave weapon. It could burn the integrated circuit components in drone chips from a long distance, and had the ability to deal with a large number of drones at the same time to counter drone saturation attacks. :
Finally, this anti-drone system combines five methods: laser destruction, electronic interference, missile interception, gun interception and microwave attack, forming a comprehensive anti-drone defense system.
