2019 World Military Games: Our Contribution to Low-Altitude Security
In 2019, the 7th World Military Games was grandly held. It was a significant international sports event that attracted military athletes from all over the world. Security work was extremely crucial, especially the low-altitude security guarantee.
Our Task
We were responsible for the low-altitude security of the core areas, including competition zones and VIP residences.
Challenges Faced
The urban environment was really complicated. Physically, there were so many tall buildings and the signal was easily blocked or refracted. Electromagnetically, with numerous electronic devices and communication base stations around, the interference was severe.

Despite these difficulties, our advanced equipment, carefully adjusted by our professional team, covered an area of nearly 60 square kilometers. It was like a tight protective net in the low-altitude area.

Achievements
During the games, several “unauthorized drone flights” happened. These drones were like hidden troublemakers. For example, during key matches, some unidentified drones suddenly entered the controlled airspace. If they crashed, they might hit the audience stands or the playing fields, causing serious consequences. But we reacted quickly. Working closely with the police, we located and tracked them precisely. We successfully dealt with these incidents in time. Our high-efficiency and professional work won high praise from the organizing committee, the police and other security forces. We not only ensured the safety of the event but also gained valuable experience for future international sports event security work.
